Last week I was travelling in Europe and had a chance to see the most dramatic skies made all the more different by the different architecture and landscape
Sailing down the Vecht, we passed some pretty villages like this one. The day was mixed, sometimes blue and clear skies while at other times with grey or white clouds. Occasionally there was even a clamouring of dark clouds threatening to bust but luckily they held back and we enjoyed a blissful day on the water, sipping wine and eating grapes – truly reminiscent of a bygone age.
On my way to Barcelona on the high speed train, the countryside whizzed past me – a landscape that changed from verdant to sandy and stark but all the while beautiful.
Early morning in Madrid the sun just kissing the sky before blazing down at 34 degrees. Was it really an autumn day? The leaves on the trees announced the changing seasons but we didn’t so much as experience a nip in the air.
