Welcome to my world.

My blog is one place where I can be myself without worrying about my voice being too loud, my laugh too raucous or my ideas too weird.

Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

You know when you are a mommy when

Motherhood changes you like no other status. It suddenly makes you grow up and responsible.

You know you are a mommy when :

  • You start having a bath in two minutes
  • A good night’s rest means one hour of deeeeeep sleep
  • You can gobble your food in two minutes
  • You can answer the phone, change the nappy and look for the car keys at the same time
  • You start singing out instructions to everyone
  • You start dandling the bag of groceries in your arm
  • You can’t sit on a chair without grabbing a cushion on your lap
  • You can’t remember the name of your favourite actor. In fact you can’t remember the name of anything at all
  • You actually feel affronted when someone calls your little one a cute little monkey
  • You give vague answers like anytime when someone asks when they can come and visit
  • You give evasive answers when someone invites you out
  • You start talking to strangers who have babies
  • You miss your own child when you see another child
  • You wonder if the person who touched your baby has washed his hands
  • Your stilettos and high heels are relegated to the back of your shoe cupboard
  • You exchange your smart trendy clutch for a big bulky carry all
  • You call restaurants before hand and check if infants are allowed entry
  • You just worry and worry and worry
