Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

What is the favourite part of your day?

Every morning I go straight to my computer to find out the prompt on Write Tribe

Ask a Question

So my question today is

What is the favourite part of your day?

This morning when I woke up, I found that the air was slightly cooler. It was slightly crisper and I actually felt happy to be awake.

The whole house was sleeping and when I looked out the window, I found the rest of the world was sleeping too. It looked so peaceful from my balcony to see the lights slowly coming on one by one in the different houses around.

Soon the morning sounds began to make themselves heard. Newspapers being pushed under the doors, milk bags being slipped into bags hanging outside, cycle bells of delivery boys announcing the delivery of fresh bread and eggs, and in the midst of this all, sounds of the birds waking up to a new day.

As the eastern sky lights up with the rising sun, the noises will intensify with delivery trucks rattling down the road laden with stuff that needs to be delivered, school buses will start rumbling , cars filled with people will start zooming, starting early to beat the morning  rush.  Gradually school bells will start ringing, horns will start honking and the world will start getting on with another busy day.

But till then I will sit down in my comfortable armchair, sip my hot cup of coffee, glance through the papers and savour the best part of my day …….. a brand new morning.

So I repeat my question : what is the favourite part of your day?

Is it when your baby nuzzles up to you and says good morning?

Is it when you get ready for work?

Is it when your family sits down for their evening meal?

Is it when you go shopping for your daily bread?

Is it when you wait at the bus stop watching people go by?

Is it when you relax in your last yoga pose?
