Monday is the day when everybody gets back to work so it is pretty rushed and crowded on the streets. Towards the end of the week the streets are even more crowded because everyone wants to make sure that their jobs to be done are done before the week is over. So I was pretty surprised to see the roads in Mumbai actually look deserted.

Can you believe this is Peddar Road at noon?

And the impossibly crowded Nana Chowk is looking positively abandoned

Well is the sky falling?

No, it is the quarter final of the Cricket  World Cup match currently being played in Australia/New Zealand  that is causing these deserted streets. And in case you didn’t know India is playing!
