I just can’t believe it was just last Friday that I was getting ready to leave for the airport at this time. I was on a trip to the United Arab Emirates – a brief vacation if one could call a weekend a holiday!
I was a bit apprehensive about the trip because just the day before Dubai was hit by a terrible sandstorm, the effects of which we are dusting in far off Mumbai as late as a week later. Yes, I came back home to find the furniture with a layer of dust and for the whole of this week we’ve been dusting twice a week. This, I’ve been told is because of the severe dust storm that hit Dubai last Thursday.
My friends in Dubai tell me that the skies were filled with dust and they could barely see 50 feet in front of them. Luckily by the time we landed the skies were blue and we could enjoy our short stay there.
