Welcome to my world.

My blog is one place where I can be myself without worrying about my voice being too loud, my laugh too raucous or my ideas too weird.

Personally speaking

P is for Patience

Suddenly after forty years of leaving school, our graduating class has become active on WhatsApp. While most of my classmates prefer to be silent spectators, participating in conversations only when they feel like it, there are a few who are very active indeed, using this platform to interact everyday, often reminding me of the time we used to chitchat before school began, between classes and at the end of day. In our time, mobile phones weren’t even a blip anywhere in the universe and telephones were a luxury most of our parents didn’t indulge us in (we could only talk if it was absolutely urgent – absolutely NO GOSSIP) so we valued our conversations in school all the more.

But P reminds me of Patience, something which I don’t possess but which seems to be life’s learning lesson for me because in the past few weeks I’ve received these messages from my WhatsApp group.

Is this the Universe’s way of telling me that I HAVE TO HAVE PATIENCE?
Sadly, I just can’t wait to find out.
The minute I get to know that something is going to happen, I want it to happen right NOW. I don’t have the patience to wait for a flight and would rather leave the house the moment I wake up rather than hang around till departure time. Similarly, when someone is coming to visit, I’d rather they come right now than endure the interminable wait.
Do you have the patience to wait?
