Welcome to my world.

My blog is one place where I can be myself without worrying about my voice being too loud, my laugh too raucous or my ideas too weird.

Personally speaking

Why is Santa blue?

I was walking through the mall at Phoenix Mills and was surprised to find it looking quite empty. I wondered what happened to all the festive cheer that was being flaunted all over Singapore as early as last month?
There was no Christmas music and even the Christmas Tree inside Palladium was a white Christmas carousel.

Is that what made Santa standing outside Citibank blue?

Wishing all Write Tribers a very happy Christmas. May your pudding be sweet and your crackers resounding.

  3. The original Santa toy manufactured in the United States, dating back to about 1890, was a blue Santa. It was not uncommon, in the 19th century, to depict Santa in a blue uniform. Today, in our country, there are various “blue Santa” drives that collect toys and other goods for needy children.

    1. Oh thanks for pointing that out. I should find out if Citibank was/is sponsoring such a drive.
