Welcome to my world.

My blog is one place where I can be myself without worrying about my voice being too loud, my laugh too raucous or my ideas too weird.

Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

It was just another ordinary day

It was just another ordinary day.

I woke up in the morning took my medication, had my breakfast ,

And went about my ordinary day.

The children came , we had lunch together

and went about our ordinary day.

Then suddenly my father in law

burst out of his room like the bombs that burst in Brussels

and told us about the awful things that were happening in a country so far away.

Terrorists that killed 31 and shocked millions the world over ….

The children slept , we had our coffee, it was for us another ordinary day.

I don’t mean to trivialise the attacks that happened but nothing seems to change . With every act of violence there is a flurry of chatter , from intellectuals and policy makers and anyone who has a voice .

There is condemnation, rationalisation, retaliation and damnation.

Despite the noise, the anger, the determination and resolution to fight the scourge that threatens to destroy the fabric of our lives

The bombs go off and people die while we go on with our ordinary day.
