Thank God April is over and the  #a to z challenge with it . It was rather  trying to juggle posts with my daily life that seemed to be spinning out of control by the day . But  I stuck on and I am glad I did because it helped me on my blogging journey.

This was my second year at the challenge and having learnt from last year’s experience, I decided not to wing it but actually have a theme. Since I’m largely housebound these days, I decided to blog about ‘The Things Around My House’. It wasn’t a breeze that I thought it would be especially when it came to certain letters – after all, the objects also had to have some added significance  to make the post more interesting – a background story, some sentimental value or at least a source of information. But I did get by and finished with aplomb.

I was simply amazed at the imagination of people the world over . Every person approached the challenge in a unique way.

1. I made a conscious decision to visit new blogs and learnt a lot about Harry Potter’s world through Vinay Ravindranath ‘s blog
2. Titli’s posts on Incredible India made me proud to be Indian.
3. Esha’s and Rajlakshmi’s travelogue made me want to take the first flight out to somewhere!
4. Shalini’s entertaining account of the life of an Army wife needs to be read by all young women who are reluctant to marry into the Olive Green .
5. Kala’s tips on home decor were invaluable and
6. Dr.Roshan’s detailed analysis of sitcoms made me realise what an ignoramus I was.
7.  Parul’s crusade against crime against women and posts of activists doing something about it really opened my eyes
8. Damayanti’s reportage of her own involvement with Project WHY an NGO based in Delhi
9. I learnt so much about herbs from Archanas blog.

Observations

I noticed that Damayanti and Shalini  and Debbie D were part of a group.How did they club up together?

Every day I would  link up with Blog Commenting Tribe , A to Zers and Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. on their threads  on FB . And would try and visit and comment on as many blogs as I could.

Some bloggers were enthusiastic and reciprocated with their comments and share but towards the end, I could sense that everyone just wanted to get on with it as it reduced to a mere trickle

But it was fun, I made new friends along the way and at some level worth it.
