Aimless #MondayMusings

Aimless on a Monday Morning.

So it’s early in the morning in my part of the world and late evening in yours perhaps. What am I doing up so early when even the cows are not awake? When the newspaper boys haven’t yet begun to separate the papers and only the people who are working the night shift are still awake?  I ask myself this question as sleep eludes me. As a hundred different thoughts come into my mind. Crashing like the waves against the rocks beside the sea. These random thoughts are mere distractions, leading me on, from one idea to the next, random without a pattern or a motive – aimless just like them.

Thankfully morning has broken now and I can get back to my life and the list of things i’d planned to do. And leave my aimless thoughts to themselves – wandering in the ether world to return to torment me once again when night falls as the day is done.

[stextbox id=”black”]Will these thoughts come yet again to shatter my peace with their aimlessness ? Will I become like these people on the beach – looking out at the sea , vacant looks on vacant beach waiting, watching aimlessly? [/stextbox]

After a morning of heavy rainfall Chowpatty beach is still not empty. There seem to be enough people who are aimless . Standing on a wet beach on a wet day watching the world unravel.

This is my response to the prompt AIMLESS on #The Daily Post

  1. Somehow, the sun when it rises, puts every aimless thought into perspective, almost a back on the feet, let’s go kind of a mood…

  2. What a lovely way to start the day! Not all who wander are aimless, remember?

Thanks Corinne . I like to think that all discoveries are made serendipitously and if we didn’t answer we’d be stuck !

  3. I am a bit late in reading this post today.

There are times when I gaze aimlessly but it’s momentary. Before I know, I am up and running again.

I never thought of it that way. Indeed there are days when being aimless is relaxing

  6. Oh how much I wish to spend a day aimlessly!
In the daily hustle and bustle of life, we cherish daydreaming and it brings in great amount of peace and relaxation for the constantly working mind.

Loved how you expressed the beach image.

Thanks for stopping by and your lovely words of encouragement . I did envy the people on the beach but was at another level I was happy to have something to do. On the other hand it is a luxury to day dream and perhaps necessary to make life less stressful as you pointed out
