Reaching out #The Daily Post

Why can’t I reach out to more people?

Obviously I’m doing something wrong out here. I just I read Annette’s post where she describes her blogging journey. She also reveals how in just a short span of 7 months, she already has a following of 440 and more!

That’s amazing . And to put it mildly I’m more than a bit jealous. I’m actually beginning to see everything through green glasses.  What is it I’m doing wrong?

  • I’m following all the blog gurus to the T
  • I’m using images with Alt tags
  • I’m following prompts/memes/ facebook groups
  • I’m commenting and sharing posts on social media
  • I’m putting up posts regularly

So what is it that is going wrong?

This is my response to today’s prompt REACH at The Daily Post. Incidentally I responded to yesterday’s prompt too but my post wasn’t listed ……..

Reaching for the stars

Sitting in Algebra class as a 14 year old, I remember Mr. Lewis walking around looking at us working out problems. He would talk to himself though he wanted all of us to hear his proverbs and homilies. One of his favourites  was
“Reach for the moon and you will reach the stars.”

This came second to his mantra – the more I practice, the more I score and score I must.

Having been conditioned to try till you succeed, I am not going to give up blogging and see if one day I will get off the ground . Maybe one day I will reach half way to the stars.

  1. That’s a nice quote. It amazes me too how people succeed in so little a time. I end up forming excuses for not doing so well but figured that maybe I was just not doing enough. And yes, we’ll definitely keep blogging in any case…no chance of giving up. :)

  2. Hello Bellybytes,

    Happy independence day!

You have no idea how much your blog inspires me, how much you inspire me. I have been away from blogosphere for many weeks now due to the big move. Planning to do a come back and first thing I am trying to do is catch up with all your posts that I missed. All you have to do is just keep writing like the way you do…such a lovely blog!

    Cheers
    Truly Happy
