Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

In my handbag #FridayReflections

What will you find in my handbag today?

“Your face my Lord is like a book wherein men may read strange matters “

(Macbeth Act 1. Sc 5 )

Lady Macbeth could very well have been talking about my handbag ,for when I opened it today, the following things came tumbling out:

1) a wallet which I always carry

2) a bunch of keys that I always carry

3) a little make up pouch which I almost always carry

4) some odds and ends like crushed balls of tissue, some bills, a hair tie and a laying in slipbook .

This is my current every day bag that is half my size. Like many women I have many bags in different colours and sizes but this is the one I am using today.

As I’m travelling today, you will also find:

  • A mobile charger
  • A pouch of my everyday medication
  • A panty liner

If you had opened my bag four months ago, you’d have found a pacifier, a rubber duckie, a packet of biscuits and perhaps a Pamper too!

Help! This bag is a security threat!

Two months ago my bag was stopped at a security check point while visiting the Statue of Liberty  because of the canister of perfume and the odd shaped lipstick that was kept in my make up pouch. I was quite relieved when the ‘Queen Latifah’ lookalike security guard checked out the items and closed it with a smile saying

“You’ve got good taste Mama! “

  1. Love your bag.. And contents are quite limited and only necessary ones. It feels good to know that like you, I too have many bags of different sizes and colors which never stops my family from cribbing .

    1. Same here Lata! Why do we like so many bags? Why can’t we be happy with just the one? But indeed more bags mean more decisions and we love that don’t we ? ;)

  2. Interesting. I would have thought you’d have a book to read.

    1. Oh Dear Corinne ! You can see from this late response that time is a luxury I just don’t have and my book reading is reduced to a trickle of stolen moments between tasks!

  3. Interesting post. You would find most of the above mentioned things in my bag too. And yes, you do have good taste :)
