Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

Diminishing Distances #SkywatchFriday

There was a time when the world was flat. Or at least people thought the world was flat

Just fancy that!

Then soon they found the world was round

And travelled on foot , then went on wheels as carts and trains and cars.

They went by sea on boats and ships

And distances became smaller .

And now as I fly above the clouds

The distance becomes still smaller .

I wonder if a time will come when we can think ourselves in another place

And cross the distance

In a moment!

These were my thoughts as I captured the sky from somewhere over Europe. The sun was still rising while I had left my Mumbai night sky just a few hours earlier .

And now with summer officially begun, the sky in Raritan is blue once more.

Sharing these skies with other bloggers at #SkywatchFriday

Have a nice weekend all!

  1. The concept of crossing distances in a moment reminds me of apparitions in Harry Potter. Something I have only fantasized about, but who knows, given the rapid advancement of technology, we can have our own version soon. :)

  4. One day, we’ll be ‘there’, I guess
    And it’s a must, nevertheless
For way before the sun stop giving us light
    We should have found
Our new home, no less :)
