Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

Life happens organically #FridayReflections

Serendipity has played an important part in my life . I am convinced that most things happen in life by chance rather than design. Because if it is by design, I am definitely not the designer!

Almost everything in my life happened serendipitously : including my birth. Not only was I unplanned but even my actual birth was unexpected. My mother tells me I was born after a heavy tea of batata wada followed by a bumpy rickshaw ride home !

And this was just the beginning.

Thereafter a series of events led me to where I am. My choice of friends for example . I never set out seeking them but friendships just blossomed in the strangest of ways . Today I consider myself blessed with the number of people I know .

And what about my own “career choices” ?Though I was always fond of reading and writing I had never planned on becoming a writer . But after trying my hand at several things , writing seems to be the most enduring.

I discovered my talent for cooking purely accidentally too. So I can go on and on about how my life just happened almost organically. The most recent of these being my inspiration for my great Indian Novel that I will be writing this whole month as part of the NaNoWriMo challenge.

Yes serendipity has played an important part in my life .

And because of the uncertainty, I feel is is all the more enriched. Each day is like a treasure hunt where things unfold themselves magically.

I wonder what today will bring.

    1. Thanks Shilpa. My mother shouldn’t have eaten wadas. I don’t particularly like them ;)

  4. That surely seems like the universe is conspiring to give you something good. Its lovely when we look back and think of the ways in which things worked out, or didn’t but left us with something better.
