It’s the last Monday of the month and I’m amazed yet again how quickly it’s gone by. Of course it’s also two days short of a regular 30 day month but do two days make a difference ?
A difference to what you may well ask ? It’s to my figures . This month I’ve been fairly regular with my blogging . There are 20 posts up , believe it or not over 6 blog hops. I’ve commented regularly too . The one post that got the most views was the #FlavoursomeTuesday post featured in my monthly blog hop that I’m co-hosting with Shilpa which had 112 views .
But the statistics are as gloomy as the weather in Raritan, where I am currently visiting with my daughter and Ms Papaya. I just can’t seem to hit the 100 views a day mark and the footfalls have been as low as 5 on certain days.
My regular visitors too seem to have fallen off which leads me to believe that either our honeymoon is over or they have other things to do.
The first quarter of the year is when a strange virus called EXAMITIS makes its nationwide strike . With many of my regular followers having school going children, I can understand that blogging is an activity that naturally gets relegated to the back ground.
But as a mother who has gone through several examinations I wonder if parents should allow this annual affliction to affect their lives to such an extent .
I know parents who not only cut out all extraneous entertainment during this time but even stop out station visitors from dropping by. Television is a NONO and some parents even cut off the cable for this time.
The entire household is in EXAMITIS mode and every one is advised to tip toe carefully and talk softly around “the candidate/candidates” who are up for exams.
So as I wonder about this drop in footfalls I wish all the mothers and the children suffering from EXAMITIS a speedy recovery .
Good luck and keep calm .
