Raindrops and roses and whiskers on kittens trilled Maria, the young novice in Sound of Music.
- While raindrops and whiskers on kittens don’t make the cut, roses definitely make me happy. Especially those huge big ones, redolent with the fragrance of rose ( naturally). In fact, all flowers make me happy and even spying those flower sellers at the traffic signals make me want to reach out and grab a few blooms.
- A brisk walk with a gentle breeze early in the morning makes me happy. I find a morning walk invigorates me and keeps me fresh all day long.
- While I am far from athletic, a good yoga stretch makes me happy too. I feel great when I touch my head to my knees or do a shoulder stand.
- Opening a new book.
- A big fat diary at the beginning of the year.
- A good conversation with an interesting person
- A rainbow in the sky.
- A huge, big, healthy tree with a large canopy.
- A big hairy dog with a warm, wet,nose
- An afternoon snooze on my sofa.
- A movie in a theatre.
- A nicely told story in a well crafted book.
- A long drive to nowhere.
- A box of assorted chocolates
- A lazy day doing nothing
- A clean, tidy, cupboard
- A hot cup of soup and a crisp buttered toast on a cold winter’s day or a wet monsoon afternoon.
- The smell of good coffee brewing makes me happy.
- I feel happy when I get a whiff of Coco Chanel my favourite perfume .
- Songs by Abba make me happy and I can’t help singing along with my feet tapping.
- A big bowl of ice cream
- A postcard or letter from a friend. Even an email makes my spirits soar.
- Fresh clothes from the dhobi
- A nicely made bed with a soft pillow and a cuddly blanket.
- A creamy body lotion, scented soap and face cream.
- Shoes , shoes and shoes
- Loafing around in the shops
- Trying out new restaurants
- Fresh fruits of the season
- Well tailored clothes.
