Welcome to my world.

My blog is one place where I can be myself without worrying about my voice being too loud, my laugh too raucous or my ideas too weird.

Personally speaking

Red moon #SkywatchFriday

Last night I looked up to see the red moon. I first noticed it when the moon was full a few days ago but couldn’t manage to capture either the moon rise or moon set in time .

But last night I saw a bit of it had been eaten up by cloud and captured it before the cloud went away.

Doesn’t this close up look fantastic ?

Is the moon always red or orange in October ? And I wonder why?

Sharing my October night sky with other bloggers at #SkywatchFriday.

Happy weekend

  2. I usually notice color in the moon when it’s low on the horizon. Once the moon has risen, the color is gone (at least in my area). Cool shots!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I think I look at the moon so much because that’s when I put my granddaughter to bed !

  3. Cool red ring around the moon! I’ve seen the entire moon turn orange when it’s close to the horizon.

  4. Yes, the moon’s always pretty in October. Is it because of Karwachauth!?! Just kidding :D
    That’s a lovely shot, Sunita!

    1. Perhaps! I don’t do karwa chauth though . We Maharashtrians do a Hartalika fast the day before Ganesh Chaturthi. But I don’t do that either because my father says that it is an insurance policy in the next birth and we should allow our spouse the option of choosing another one !
