Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

Mirror on the Wall #MondayMusings

Today is the penultimate Monday of the year . The beginning of a week that is winding down to the end of the year.

Somehow, at this time of year, I find myself doing an internal audit . It’s the time to reflect, ponder and plan for the year ahead.

  • What made me happy this year?
  • Did I achieve my own targets?
  • What challenges did I face ?
  • How many books have I read ?
  • Did I learn any new skills?

As I stand before the mirror on the wall in my mothers’s bedroom, I feel inordinately happy.

This mirror is one that makes you look good . And if you look good you feel good . You could say it is deceptive but today I want to hear that I’m the fairest in the land like Snow White’s wicked step mother.

Because I didn’t always feel good every day of this year .

It has been a tumultuous year where the minutes compressed to seconds and the days passed by in a whizz.

It has been life changing. It was the year I learnt to :

Adapt to new situations at home

Reconnect with old school friends

Discover new friendships from the virtual world

Accept things for what they are

Explore new Social Media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest

Understand more about blogging

Enjoy the company of my family

Establish new relationships with long lost cousins

Count my blessings.

Thanks 2018!

Ciao

  3. My sister says this about the mirror I have in my room – somehow it makes us look slimmer and fitter :-)

Your year has been eventful but your gratitude over the learnings make it such a perfect one Sunita. It was a pleasure to meet you this year and I hope we stay friends for years to come.

Wish you a very blissful and joyous New Year!!

    1. Thanks Shalz. I hope we keep in touch and remain friends too . And lucky you to have a mirror that flatters rather than one that fatters
