Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

Cloud Cover #SkywatchFriday

It’s early May and storm clouds are brewing on India’s East Coast.

Cyclone Fani which was hovering over Chennai is now heading northward towards Odisha.

This extra atmospheric activity has affected my Mumbai sky too and left it overcast. It looks scarily like a pre-Monsoon sky.

These are dramatic views from the eastern side of the house .

And this is the view from the west.

And with the temperature already so high and slated to go up more, I wonder what the rest of the day will be like.

In the meanwhile I do hope my compatriots and others in #Fani’s path are safe.

What is the sky like in your part of the world ?

Do join me and other skywatchers from around the globe at #SkywatchFriday.

Happy weekend all!

Ciao

  1. Just read about Cyclone Fani and how they had to shift close to a million people to safer places. Nature is sure getting back at us, don’t you think? For all the mess we have made here, I believe this is what we deserve.
    Sigh.

  3. That first picture – just something about the quality of the sunshine (not long after sunrise?) It’s raining here and 65F (18.3C) right now.

    1. Yes indeed . The quality of the sunrise did catch my eye. We are sweltering in the heat and I’m sure it is a build up to the monsoons
