Welcome to my world.

My blog is one place where I can be myself without worrying about my voice being too loud, my laugh too raucous or my ideas too weird.

Ready for Take-Off

Travelling abroad can be a daunting experience. Especially for first-time travellers. After the initial excitement of planning your trip and packing your bags, when you actually get to  Immigration there is a cold sinking feeling.

I is for Immigration

Little Po and Wow Dinga were experienced travellers at home. They had travelled by train, plane, and car. But this was the first time they were taking an international flight.  Expectedly, were excited beyond belief.

Even though it was late at night, they walked goggle-eyed through the Duty-Free.  But when they entered the Immigration Hall, their jaws dropped. There were long snaking lines before they could actually get to their gate.

They had no option but to patiently wait their turn .

Finally, it came. The dour-looking Immigration Officer ( why can’t they be friendly?)requested their father to put them on the counter so that they could look into the camera for iris recognition.

Little Po clambered up and looked at the camera questioningly.

“Look into it,” barked the officer.

Little Po held the camera to his eye like a telescope, peered into it and loudly said “Hello!”

The entire line burst into laughter including the dour-looking Immigration Officer.
