When Santa goes Dutch

Christmas is special all over the world. Everyone loves Santa. And everyone knows he comes from the North Pole. But do you know that one day, the Santa who came home was from Holland!

X is for Xander

It was the week before Christmas and the twiblings were excited. Santa was coming home that evening. As they nudged each other and whispered, I knew something was afoot.

“What’s happening?” I asked them.

“SANTA IS COMING HOME TONIGHT!” they said in unison.

Really? I asked them. “How do you know?”

“Well, Abu said Santa was coming .”

Unfortunately, it wasn’t Santa but XANDER Hubby Dear’s Dutch colleague who was coming home to dinner.

Well, when they woke up the next morning and saw the stash of chocolates and cheese he brought for them, they were convinced Santa had come visiting.

I wonder how long this innocence will last for.

  1. Oh that is MOST adorable. I’d think it was Santa too!
Heck, I’m 46 and I swear he drives the bus here in my city so…you never know. Maybe your Dutch friend really is Santa ;)

  3. No matter where Santa comes from, as long as he brightens up the young hearts, he would stay rooted in there for years to come for sure.

  4. I am loving your twibling series. The Dutch cheese is one of the best in the world. Last time I brought so many from Amsterdam and my son would eat it morning, evening and night. All these simple things now seem like a dream. God knows when life would be normal again.
