Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

Yet another beginning

I have been blogging for over 11 years now.

And I’ve made several changes

Well, I actually thought that the last time I started a new blog it would be my last one. After all, I was no longer a newbie, I had made my mistakes and my blog was here to stay.

But last month when I got a renewal notice from my hosting provider SiteGround, Hubby Dear and Daughter No 1 put their foot down. ( Or should it be feet because between the two of them they had four feet to put down).

“Enough,” they said in unison, “You have wasted enough money and time on your blog so now if you want to continue blogging, do it for FREE”.

So, I must be about the only person on this planet who is moving from a self hosted blog to a FREE.

In hindsight ( 2020? ) this might be the best option since

a) Everyone is tightening their belts so a non-profit activity should also be a non-cost activity.

b) With lifestyles changing and most people having to do their own work, less people will be interested in reading blogs etc.

c) Working from home will mean more time on the screen so people are hardly likely to spend more time than required staring at the screen.

Why I changed my blog hosting site.

So what I did was import all my content from “Mumbai On  A High” to this new blog site.

I hope to slowly re-vamp it weeding out the irrelevant content, sorting it out so that I hope it will become a better reading experience for you dear readers.

Thank you for your support

During the AtoZ Challenge this year, I got 10 new subscribers and finally touched the 1000 subscriber mark.

As ShailajaV said in her Webinar last week, one’s subscribers/followers are not always one’s audience. But nonetheless, it is a nice ego massage to know that there are so many people out there who actually found it worthwhile becoming a regular subscriber.

So hang on there and see you soon.

Ciao
