• Living simply

Simply living every day the way most of us live , is causing untold harm to our planet .

The time has come now to live simply so that we can simply live.

I bring to you this simple message from Sonam Wangchuk, Ladakhi scientist, entrepreneur and activist who had inspired the character Rancho or Phunsuk Wangdu in the popular Hindi movie “Three idiots“.

All you have to do is make simple changes

♦ Like walking when you can and avoiding a car

♦Like using a bucket instead of having a shower

Let us all join in this initiative.

  • Did you know that we have a UNESCO declared World Heritage Precinct right in the city of Mumbai ?

With my right arm in a sling, blogging will have to take a back seat .

But I couldn’t help sharing this clip on the often-overlooked architectural beauty that stares us in the face every day.

Almost all visitors to Mumbai have visited this part of the city. Many older citizens consider THIS part of the city the original . Often times they turn their nose up at the more recent developments as ‘parvenu’.

While the new elements have their beauty, there’s no denying the charm of this MUMBAI precinct.

A few citizens of this area have worked tirelessly for more than a decade to preserve this neighbourhood.

Thanks to these watchful citizens of this city, future generations of Mumbaikars.
