Like the ripples in a pond, one thought led to another starting out with a feeling of immense satisfaction over the weekend past.

Musings on a Monday Morning

The first ripple in the pond was a Notification from FB reminding me to acknowledge my friends and appreciate them and thank them for being there for me. I got a bit freaked out . Imagine FaceBook knew who my friends were ( on FB as I realised)! Worse still, they had them all sorted out : the most enthusiastic, the one who shared the most likes, the one who was my first friend…..

Luckily I don’t befriend people on FB unless they are really my friends. I have literally a handful and would like to keep things that way.

Widening circle of friends

When you’ve lived on this earth as long as I have, you land up meeting a lot of people. Some become friends, some become enemies, some remain acquaintances while the majority are ships that pass at night .

Yet there are others who remain friends for life, who share your laughter and your pain.

So now I am back to Square One making friends through my grandchildren and have already graduated to primary school!

At which stage in making friends are you? Do share your thoughts on this .

More importantly, do you think FB is imposing on your ‘privacy’ as it were and becoming another word for George Orwell’s Big Brother?

I was in Pune early this week and managed to catch the sun peeping out from behind the trees .

That evening I captured the moonrise which looked uncannily like the sunrise in the morning .

Did you see the Blue Moon on the 31st ?

It didn’t live up to the hype but it was a gorgeous sight . The moon actually looked like a ball rather than the flat circle it normally seems.
