Welcome to my world.

My blog is one place where I can be myself without worrying about my voice being too loud, my laugh too raucous or my ideas too weird.

Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

The Fragrance of Mango Blossom

I have always loved food.

This is my first book, and I hope it is not my last. Because, quite honestly, it doesn’t represent the food that is on my table every day. Most of the food is familiar to my family. However, this book explores the food-related traditions and customs unique to the Kokanastha Brahmin family to which I belong.

It has taken me more than ten years to gather information from family and friends. As my publisher assured me, this is more anthropological than a recipe book.

It is a compendium for those interested in food and folklore.

And for my clansmen who crave the taste of their past, this is specially for you.

Pure vegetarian food that will bring back memories of
