The Write Tribe is celebrating a two week festival of “creativity and inspiration”. Unfortunately I am unable to participate since I am participating in family festivities that centre around the wedding of a nephew. Gifts are essential to a wedding and totally inspire me to be creative while wrapping them.
In fact I am so spurred on to make the present attractive that my girls call this syndrome my “Samsung gift syndrome” after we spent a good ten minutes unwrapping a Samsung product only to find that the machine was way smaller than the box and far less impressive looking than the cover on the top. My intention is not to make the gift grander than it is but to make the whole presentation a ‘wow’ moment. To this end I’m always looking for material to wrap gifts : ribbons, laces, netting, gauzy fabric, papers, bows, flowers and all kinds of bags that I think will make a pretty present.
So this morning I wrapped up the gifts for the bridal couple in this chocolate brown wrapping paper with a dull gold motif and then jazzed it up with a brown and gold ribbon. Simple but effective isn’t it?
I am participating in the ‘Ready For Rewards’ activity for Rewardme in association with BlogAdda.
