Letting things go #FridayReflections

The other day, I opened my cupboard and saw things in a new light. I had too much stuff. Most of it, I didn’t need.

I realised that this is the case with a lot of things in my life. To begin with, I have far too much weight I do not need.

I have many clothes I never wear.

I have books that lie for years un-read

But more than that, I have worries in my head that keep me tossing and turning in bed

Why did X stop talking to me?

Did I do something to annoy Y so?

Will my party be a success?

How will I tell Q what I really think?

I’m not the only one who worries so – we all have stuff that needs to go:

Petty jealousies, imagined slights, imputed gestures,

Old arguments, long lasting envy, bitter memories,

Isn’t it time we let things go? Image for letting things go

Clothes an books are a great pain to sort and get rid of, something every house is victim to. As for the worries, they are too stubborn to leave our heads. Letting go is much harder than it seems, but yes we must.

    Couldn’t agree more with you.

As I am preparing to relocate, i realize how cluttered my wardrobe is and my mind is not free (even for a minute) either. Finding it hard to let go of anything .

It is time though to let few things go off house and off mind too.

Luckily or unluckily Nature abhors a vacuum and when one thing goes another one comes….. Good luck with your packing . It’s hard to decide what to leave behind and what to take with you
