Trail walk on the Campus

Walk on the trail

For those of you who’ve been following my blog, you will have realised that I’ve been away from home and hearth for quite a while now. Despite more regular walking and more mindful eating the pounds seem to pile on. So on Friday we decided to do some serious damage control. We launched another effort of earnestly bringing my  burgeoning waist line under check. And what better place than the Campus Trail to burn off those extra calories?

I found out that this gorgeous fungus is called Turkey tail fungus.

It was the beginning of a lovely summer day. The air was crisp and not yet hot. And the sky was a clear blue that turned cloudy every now and then but just for a little while.

It was lovely to enjoy the peaceful quiet , a restful silence disturbed only by the scampering of squirrels  or chirping of birds .

Suddenly I spotted a deer dart forward. It was gone before I could even take my phone out of my pocket . Equally quick was the jack rabbit that merged so beautifully with the fallen leaves !

And I was excited to spot this daisy- the first time I had really spotted one growing inthe wild.

Now isn’t that a beatiful trail to walk on ?

I do wish I could do it every day!

    1. Well I’m not that adventurous. Could only do this because it was a cultivated jungle
