‘Tis the Season #ThursdayTreeLove

img_8259

This was supposed to go up on the earlier edition of #ThursdayTreeLove for ’tis the season when decorated Christmas trees are found almost all over the world.

While real trees are dressed up, in my part of the world, most of the Christmas trees are from China. But unlike the fake trees we got in our time, these look somewhat passable. The Christmas trees I remember growing up with, did little to disguise the fact that they were bottle brushes painted green.

However, thanks to the Chinese the trees look slightly better. And while we try to avoid the fake snow, we cannot help but indulge the Little Ones with ornaments like sparkly reindeer and pine cones.

This year, the Little Ones added their own homemade danglers: a snowman and two pups from their favourite show – Paw Patrol.

But not all fake trees are evergreen. This tree, for instance, is ingeniously making use of the wooden hangers used in this men’s clothing store around the corner.

And in keeping with the spirit of good cheer, I am sharing this cartoon that should bring a smile to your face.

cartoonSharing this with other tree lovers on Parul’s #ThursdayTreeLove-78.

Have a great weekend all!

Ciao,

    1. Oh yes! It is always such fun. My little ones were busy re-decorating the tree every time they saw it. They actually made a game of it finding a different home for each ornament every day! This activity kept them busy for most of December. Then they had equal fun pulling everything down and keeping things away for next year!

  2. This was cute. The Chinese one is selling like hot cake and the one with hangers is smart move. That cartoon is too funny. I started thinking of my yoga class. Thanks Sunita. Never too late here.

    1. I love Christmas trees made with ingenuity. This year I found one tree made out of sloping roofed houses outside a department store . Couldn’t see the connection between the two unless it was a message to shoppers that they had just the gifts to go down chimneys . But that does seem a bit far-fetched doesn’t it ?
