Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

A shrinking lake

As a student of Physics, I never really understood Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Possibly that’s the reason why I gave up learning science because abstract thinking was way beyond my capacity. I am more of a WYSIWYG person. But it seems that there are many people who do not this concept that revolutionised modern science.

While on holiday in Thailand with his family, Wow Dinga, his parents and Uncle and Aunt decided to go zip lining.

Since Little Po was too small, he decided he would stay back with his Abu and Aji and walk with them to the top of the hill from where the rest would zip line across the lake.

The three of them –  Abu  and Aji ( dada , dadi) walked up the hill at a leisurely pace while the rest scampered ahead.

As they reached the top, Little Po looked down and was completely shocked to see that the lake had become smaller.

“Abu Abu,”  he shouted  to his grandpa who was walking ahead. “It’s an emergency! Come quick, the lake has shrunk”.

His grandparents laughed at his horrified expression and explained to him how things look smaller when they are further away but are actually the same size!
