Valentine’s has become a big deal all over the world. It has also become so commercialised that very few gestures remain original and from the heart. With cards, chocolates, flowers and elaborate date nights, there is no room for a simple declaration of love.
However, earlier this year, I witnessed a truly “AW” moment.

It was the day before Valentine’s when Anna Shetty and I took the Little Ones to the Park.
We thought the twiblings could play in the park while Wow Dinga attended his Track&Field training programme in the adjoining field.
Suddenly Little Po came running to us. With wide-eyed wonder, he opened his fist.
“Look aaiee”, he said excitedly, “this looks like a heart”! It was a smooth, flat stone that he had hidden in his hand.
Then very shyly he said, “You can have it “
Wasn’t that the best Valentine’s gift ever?
Ciao
