Anniversaries & Anniversaries

Well it would seem strange to celebrate a year of CoVid, but why just take note of good things? Bad things affect our lives equally. Definitely CoVid has made a great impact on me. And I’m sure it must have made a great impact on you as well. Because even if neither of us have suffered from CoVid, no one has been able to escape its effect on our lives. Yes, undeniably CoVid has impacted our lives and changed it perhaps even irreversibly.

Who can ever forget the 24th of March, the day when our Prime Minister announced a lockdown in the whole of India?

This was an announcement that was as grave as any other national emergency we have faced in the past.

Over night we stopped stepping out, home help stopped coming in to work and schools closed down without a whimper.

So grave was this event that till today we are experiencing the ravages of this pandemic. Jobs are still hard to come by, the fear of contracting the disease is still not over. Much of what we now about this illness is still shrouded in mystery, conjecture and misinformation.

Hence I thought that I’d commemorate this different anniversary in a different way. I will use this anniversary to reveal my theme for the Blogchatter A to Z Challenge.

I have participated in the A to Z Challenge sponsored by Arlee Bird and his pals since 2015. I also participated in the A to Z Challenge held simultaneously by Blogchatter in a few years. But since the major part of the challenge lies in visiting and commenting on as many blogs as you can, it does become a bit difficult.

So this year I’m wondering whether to participate only in the #BlogchatterAtoZ or both?

While I am still undecided about which platform to participate in, I’ve thought out my theme.

And you guessed right, my theme is about my year with Corona or more specifically: The 26 New Lessons I Learnt from Corona.

There you have it . My theme reveal for this year’s A to Z Challenge.

I do hope you join me and many bloggers round the world who are participating in this challenge and drop by their blogs to read some interesting, funny, informative and might I add sometimes dreary words. But whatever the tone, the genre or the content, each voice is unique and you will have 26 eminently readable posts.

See you then on April 1st on this blog.

Ciao

  1. I like the approach of summarising the lessons from the last year, you’re right, not only good events need to be remembered but hard times as well. Great topic!

      1. Yes, I’ll write semi-fictional stories from the viewpoint of my dog – she’s a wise one! ;) https://miadogadventures.wordpress.com/2021/03/14/finding-my-dog-magic/
