How times have changed.

When we were young, we learnt that the Three R’s stood for

Reading and Writing and Arithmetic. Reading meant reading words straight off like Pat can run or Sing mother sing.

Writing meant writing in capitals and small letters like A and a.

As for Arithmetic that was simple addition, subtraction , multiplication and division. Or 3+ 2 , 3-2, 3×2 and 3/2.

Today the Three R’s stand for

Reduce

Recycle

Reuse

With Ms. Papaya’s strict orders for me to reduce or burst , I wonder whether I will also be recycled or reused in case I am not reduced.
