What’s with climate change and pollution ?
My normally clear April sky is hazy and murky.
And of course the wildly mushrooming buildings aren’t adding to the beauty of my Mumbai skyline.
I do hope the skies clear soon and the skyline pretties up !
By the way, today is Friday the 13th . Do you suffer from triskaidekaphobia ( a fear of the number 13 particularly Friday 13th ? )

Mumbai’s zoo is not the best zoos in the world, but it does have a marvellous collection of trees. Last year, the zoo acquired some Penguins and after a brief visit to the penguins, Wow Dinga wanted to play on the equipment.
While waiting , we happened to look up and spied a tree full of bats .
Who do you think was more astonished ? Us, looking at the bats or the bats who were staring down at us ?

This evening I was sitting in the garden just gathering my thoughts when Mrs J walked up. This elegant lady who is more of my MIL’s friend asked about my in laws particularly about my FIL. Soon we were joined by more and more women and before I knew it I had spent three hours just shooting the breeze.
And it was fun. I didn’t realise how much I’d missed this idle chatter of nothing of much consequence but entertaining all the same.
The youngest amongst us must be around 50 while the eldest was in her mid-80’s. But somehow today something gelled and we all went home with lighter hearts and smiling faces.
Actually conversing with real live humans is therapeutic and far more invigorating and rejuvenating than long telephonic exchanges. While Skype, FaceTime and Whatsapp video calls have changed the way people interact, there’s nothing quite like real human contact.
So if you’re feeling blue all you have to do is go down and get some fresh air. You may just meet a friendly face with whom you can chase away your blues.
