The blazing red of the Gulmohar is one the signs of summer. It’s vermillion blossoms make a gorgeous flowery umbrella. In summers past, the whole of Malabar Hill used to be a fire with its colour.
Alas , the burgeoning concrete jungle has forced the Gulmohar to peep out between the grey of buildings like the remains of summer on this tree near Babulnath Temple.

I love Gulmohar trees. We had a lot of them lining the pathways at school. Oh, your post reminds me that it’s been ages since I saw a Gulmohar tree in its full orange glory!!

Gulmohar remains a treat for the eye, the orange beauty stand stills at my work place and yes I do love the sight. Thanks for posting a lovely message on planting trees:)
