As day breaks over Mumbai #SkywatchFriday

Today is the last day of the Merry month of May. It seems that gloom has descended on my city with the first grey morning.

The Koel is still cooing her summer story and the roads are free of traffic.

A quiet peace welcomes the new day.

As we welcome the grey clouds over the city of Mumbai.

This year our city has been unusually hot and we are already facing depleted water reserves.

Let’s hope the rains bring respite.

Sharing these thoughts and photos with skywatchers from all over the world on #SkywatchFriday.

Happy weekend

Ciao

The skies look so grim. But I also see some kind of reddish tree in bloom. I am not familiar with the koel and I found a video of its song. Nature tries to prosper even in the most trying of conditions. The weather is so unbalanced, though. If we could combine your weather and our weather and average it out, maybe things could be better for both of us.

Yes I think so ! What a brilliant idea it would be … or you could do what many Indians do – spend half their time in India and the other half in the US

We are waiting for the rains too! Our water reservoirs have only 10% water left
