OK so this is another rant after all, in the hope that someone from GoDaddy reads this and comes to my aid.

One of the difficulties in being a self taught computer geek is that you actually realise that you don’t understand anything especially when it is technical and that learning by trial and error can have no end in sight especially when you are accessing the internet in spurts and between household chores.  Before I get very generic, let me relate my latest online woes.

1. I have been writing this blog for yonks but for some strange reason I find that it is not getting the traffic it deserves.

2. After noticing a fall in traffic despite the other parameters remaining the same, I discussed this with a fellow blogger ( a younger one and an engineer at that) who told me that my problem was two-fold – the template I was using was an old one and secondly I should have a blog on my own domain and not via Blogger.

3. So I bought my own domain name on GoDaddy which I was told was the best Domain Register(er)? since they had great customer support service.

4. I find that despite several visits to Blogger and GoDaddy, I cannot figure out how to use a custom domain name for my blog.

5. The most frustrating thing is that the 24×7 helpline just doesn’t work because the phone line gets cut off the moment I give my customer name.This has happened at least five times so far.

6. There seems to be no email address to which I can ask my questions…..

7. It seems I’m just another sucker after all.
