Twenty- five Seven

Personally speaking

Thinking positively #MondayMusings

There is a crispness in the air

A nip so slight it’s almost not there .

Ms Papaya sleeps

Parrots screech

Girls from the school across the road march Left, Left, Left , Right, Left

The bread man knocks and hands me a loaf Fresh from the bakery, all soft and warm

School buses begin to rumble and

A motorbike whizzes past .

In my kitchen, the kettle boils , my coffee perks.

And steps of children running upstairs , mingle with newspapers rustling

Left left left right left .

The sounds slowly recede into the background as more noises roar down the road instead .

A new morning breaking , a new week starting

How wonderful it is to be up today.

Looking out the balcony, I watch the sky turn blue each day.

The greyness vanishing , the clouds whitening and

gradually vanishing

into nothingness

As sunshine fills my days again.

After a long while I was woken up this morning by Ms Papaya who herself was awake since 5 am! I woke up reluctantly as I was tired after an exhausting and busy

week.

After my traumatic experience with a blogging challenge I shouldn’t have attempted, I de-stressed with a night out to dinner with young friends who think about things so differently and positively.

So staring out while Ms Papaya slept for a second round, I felt the freshness come in from the outside and fully house with happiness.

Does this happen to you on a Monday morning ?

I’d love to hear your thoughts about waking up on Monday.

Sharing positive thoughts this Monday morning from a Mumbai that is waking up.

Happy Monday all!

Ciao

  1. Bright new morning and a bright new week! I’ve had a somewhat shaky start, as you know, but let’s hope things become better soon!

  2. That first pic reminded me of the opening sequence of Avengers: INFINITY War (dont know if you saw it) where the first moment on Earth showcases a beautiful high sky with the ends of skyscrapers below.

    1. Well you are right about me not knowing anything about Avengers – my grandsons though try to keep me updated with all the costumes .

  3. I have mixed feelings about Monday. I of-course miss the relaxed pace of the weekend, but also love the sense of fresh beginning that the start of every single week brings along with it. Hope you have a great week ahead! :)

  4. What an uplifting way to start a Monday morning. Your post almost inspired me to do a Tuesday morning jig. I love Mondays too and enjoy getting back on track with my writing, as I usually take a writing break on weekends.

Love the shots, and the lyrical poetry. Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday too, Sunita. Happy week! <3

    1. Really? I think many people especially busty moms would love a Monday – when the family goes off leaving them alone to enjoy some me time ;)

  6. That was an endearing start to the post and a positive ending. I have often wondered from your photos how tall is the building where you live because you seem to be living in a building situated over a high hill overlooking the whole city.
Frankly speaking, I love waking up on Monday mornings. I look forward to pack the dabbas and send husband and son out of home and have lots of me time. For most Mondays of the year, I love this day because I get a chance to take a dive in my mind, fish out thoughts, put them into words and display on the blog plate. I love Mondays for the Mondays :)
