Personally speaking

Christmas at Easter? #WordlessWednesday

I was wandering through Phoenix mall when I saw this Christmas tree in the square .

The Christmas tree in the square

While the tree is supposed to be an evergreen shouldn’t it be making way for the Easter bunny who is coming soon ?

Well I can understand the mall’s reluctance to do away with Christmas decorations. There is something so festive and cheerful about these baubles . But somehow I felt a distinct lack of festive spirit .

Does that happen to you ? Do you feel the festive spirit when you see unseasonal decorations ?

Sharing this with Esha and Natasha on #WordlessWednesday.

Happy Wednesday all

Ciao

  1. I see a trend more and more to either leave Christmas decorations up or redecorate them to serve for Valentines Day or even St Patrick’s Day (March 17) in the United States. I personally don’t like it.

    1. I’m glad you think so too . Christmas is different from Valentine’s so the decorations should change !

  2. I guess they were too lazy to put that Christmas tree away! In my view, unseasonal decorations are not a nice thing to have. I certainly don’t get the festive feel without the real experience of a festival, so unseasonal fun is ruled out in my case! But there must be many who do. To each his own, eventually!

    1. Yes I too think it is a case of extreme laziness. Actually putting away seasonal decorations are as much fun as taking them out !

  3. It’s so out of place. Easter bunny with Easter eggs would have invoked the spirit. I would not have paid heed to it or felt festive.

I think the management is trying to work on a shoestring budget and trying to squeeze every drop of expense from it 🙃🙃🙃

    1. Possibly . And I think very few shoppers pay heed to what’s happening around them or even think too deeply about things
